Automatically assigning seeds for teams in a division

Updated over 2 months ago

Assigning seeds to each team in every division has never been easier. If you do not have a preference as to what seed a team is, you can have the system automatically do it for you. On the Scheduling Administration page you will see a link called Unassigned seeds: # games. This link works once your tie-patterns are assigned to each division.

Once the tie patterns are assigned, click on the link for Unassigned Seeds. It will tell you the # of teams that have not been assigned a seed and it will ask if you want the system to do it for you. If you run it, it will assign each team in order, following the tie pattern.

Typically, the teams are listed in alphabetical order, so the first team listed in a division will be A1 followed by A2, A3, A4, etc. If your tie-pattern is broken up into multiple flights then the first few teams will be in the A flight followed by the B flight (second flight), then C flight (third flight), etc. You can always modify the teams seeding information once the system does it for you. The system will never override any seedings you do manually before running the link.
