How Do I Submit & View a Player Evaluation from the Mobile App?

Submit new player evaluations, view previously submitted ones, and edit existing evaluations directly from the mobile app. Navigate to Team > Members > Player Profile > Evaluations to get started.

The OTTO Sport Mobile App gives authorized users full access to player evaluations, including submitting new evaluations, reviewing previously submitted ones, and editing existing responses, all from the player’s profile within a team. No desktop required.

Note: An Admin must first set up and assign evaluation forms to the season before they appear in the mobile app. Admins can see How Do I Create, Apply, and Manage Player Evaluation Forms? for setup instructions.

Accessing Evaluations on Mobile

  1. From the bottom navigation, tap Teams and select your team.

  2. Tap Members to view the team’s rostered players.

  3. Tap Players, then tap the player you want to evaluate to open their Player Profile.

  4. Tap Evaluations.

The Evaluations screen contains two sections:

  • New Evaluation: Available to users with Can Submit permission. Select an evaluation form, fill it out, and submit.

  • Previously Submitted: Available to users with Can View permission. Review saved responses for evaluations previously submitted for this player within the current team’s season.

Note: The Evaluations button appears for any user who has at least one permitted action: Can Submit, Can View, or Can Edit. Users who can only view evaluations will still see the Evaluations button and can access the Previously Submitted section even if New Evaluation is not available to them.

How to Submit a Player Evaluation on Mobile

  1. Once on the Player's Profile, tap on Evaluations.

  2. Select the new evaluation form you want to complete from the list of available evaluations.

  3. Fill out the form, then tap Submit when complete.

Note: You can submit multiple evaluations for the same player. Each submission appears as a separate entry in the Previously Submitted section.

Viewing a Previously Submitted Evaluation

  1. On the Evaluations screen, under Previously Submitted, you’ll see all evaluations submitted for this player within the current team and season.

  2. Tap any evaluation to open and review the saved responses.

Note: Evaluations are scoped to the team from which the Player Profile was opened. Evaluations submitted through Team A will not appear when viewing the same player through Team B.

Users with Can View permissions can also review submitted evaluations in two places on desktop: the Team Page under Reports > Evaluations, or directly on the player’s profile under the Evaluations tab.

Editing a Previously Submitted Evaluation

  1. From the Evaluations screen, tap the evaluation you want to edit under Previously Submitted.

  2. On the evaluation detail screen, tap Edit.

  3. Make your changes, then tap Save when complete.

Note: The Edit button only appears for users with editing permission. Users with Can View permission but no editing permission can open and read evaluations but cannot modify saved responses.

Understanding Evaluation Permissions on Mobile

The same permissions that apply on desktop apply on mobile. Users who have been granted Can Submit, Can View, and Can Edit access to an evaluation form can complete perform those same tasks on the app. This typically includes:

  • Full Admins

  • Directors

  • Team Staff/ Coaches

If you don’t see the Evaluations tab on a player’s profile, check with your Admin to confirm you’ve been granted submit permissions for that season’s evaluation form.

Good to Know

  • The mobile evaluation experience is the same as the desktop version. The same forms, the same fields, and the same permissions will apply.

  • Evaluations are scoped to the current team and season, so evaluations from other teams won’t appear.

  • If no evaluation forms are available for a season, the Evaluations tab will not appear on the player’s profile.

  • You can submit multiple evaluations for the same player; each submission appears as a separate entry.
