Get More Leads
Want a steady stream of potential customers that want to book an appointment with/purchase product from/learn more about your business? If so, use the Lead Capture functionality on your employees' profiles. Here's how to set it up:
Go to Account Settings
Select 'Leads'
After you enable it, tell to your employees about this new feature! Email, text, Slack, call, whichever you prefer! Get them excited about this new feature! Here's a sample message you can send them:
"Hi team! We have just enabled a new feature on Edge that allows you to share your Edge profile with your friends and family to help get more potential customers in the door. All you need to do is login to your Edge app, navigate to your profile, and click 'Share'. You can send people a link to your profile, have them scan your QR code, or paste your link in your social media! The more you share it, the more likely you are to attract new customers!"
When Employees share their profile, the people who view their profile will be prompted to enter in their Name and Phone Number. After they submit their info, they will be prompted with a screen letting them know they'll hear back from your business.
After Leads are submitted:
The Edge admin users will be notified via email that there is a new lead that's been submitted. It will show which Employee profile this Lead originated from in case you want to add an incentive for every lead captured/converted into a customer.
The Edge admin users can view the list of Leads and mark them as complete when they book an appointment.
When you get a Lead, you can reach out to this customer in whichever way works best for your business. After you reach out to this customer and book an appointment, you can check the 'Mark as done' checkbox to easily keep track of which Leads still need your attention.
💡Tip: when you enable this feature, it is extremely important to communicate this to your team multiple times to help them get in the habit of using it. Based on our data, a weekly reminder to your employees for the first month helps them get off to a good start. The more you communicate this to your team and make this a priority, the more effective it will be for your business.
Increase Online Bookings/Purchases
Want to enable people to book appointments/purchase products directly from your Employees' profiles? Your employees have great profiles and should want to share their profile with the world, so this should be a great way for your Business to increase sales. If so, use the 'Affiliate Link' functionality on your employees' profiles. Here's how to set it up:
Go to Account Settings
Select 'Affiliate Link'
After you enable this, on your Employees' profiles there will be a 'Shop My Link' button that allows people to click it and be brought to book an appointment/purchase product.
Your employees will need to add the Link to their profile so that when customers view their profile and click 'Shop My Link' it will take them to the correct place. Until your Employees' add a link, the 'Shop my Link' will be a Google button that brings people to Google to leave a review. More on the Google button in the section below.
Depending on how you want this configured, you might need to provide your employees with the link unless they can get this link on their own. Either way, you'll want to communicate this to your team. Get them excited about this new feature! Here's a sample message you can send them:
If you are providing the link to your Employees:
"Hi team! We have just enabled a new feature on Edge that allows you to share your Edge profile with your friends and family to help get more potential customers in the door. All you need to do is login to your Edge app, navigate to your profile, add your Affiliate Link, and click 'Share'. Here is the link to enter in your Edge profile: <enter link here>! If your Employees can find their link on their own:
"Hi team! We have just enabled a new feature on Edge that allows you to share your Edge profile with your friends and family to help get more potential customers in the door. When Employees share their profile, the people who view their profile will be prompted click 'Shop my Link' which will bring people to book an appointment/purchase product. Here's what they will see:

The guest can mention they booked from an employees profile when they come in to make a purchase
If your online booking allows for a referral link to be entered upon checkout, then please reach out to Edge to get help configuring this.

Increase Google Reviews
Want to prompt people to leave Google reviews from your Employees' profiles? Your employees have great profiles and should want to share their profile with the world, so this should be a great way for your Business to increase reviews. If so, help communicate this new functionality to your team. Here's how to set it up:
Go to Account Settings
Ensure neither 'Affiliate Link' nor 'Leads' is selected
After you do this, on your Employees' profiles there will be a 'Mention me in a Review' button that allows people to click it and be brought to your Google page so they can leave a review.

Employees can add a picture, choose a theme, add a bio, and interests to personalize their profile and make it more engaging for people who view it.
How do they do it
How do Employees share their profile?
Social Media
They can share it on their social media (inserting their profile link in their bio and/or adding it to a caption of a post).
Text a link to their friends/family
They can copy the link directly from their profile and share it with their friends and family
QR code
From within their Edge app, employees can click 'Share' and then choose the 'QR Code' option
Air Drop
From within their Edge app, employees can click 'Share' and then choose the 'Airdrop' option
Note: this is only available from the mobile Edge app and might not be available for all mobile devices depending on the model.
