Edge charges businesses a flat fee every month and the Employees at that location have a chance to earn up to half of that fee, every month.
Employees are required to reach a $25 minimum threshold in earnings, before payment is released to that Employee. Typically this would be five online mentions (i.e. $5/online mention) but if there is a review that mentions multiple Employees, the $5 is split equally amongst those that are mentioned, so sometimes the Employee will need more than five online mentions before hitting the $25 threshold. This doesn't happen too often however.
Once the Employee has reached $25 or more in earnings, they will be able to sign into their Edge account and claim their funds.
Two things are important to note:
For money to be sent to the Employee, the team-wide cap must not be reached for that given month (read more about the team-wide cap here) and
The Employee must have hit the threshold as described above.
The great thing about Edge is that even if the team-wide cap is hit and/or the Employee has not hit the threshold and therefore the money is not paid to that Employee, any unpaid earnings will roll over to the following months, until the Employee's money is sent to them (assuming that the Employer is still paying for Edge and the Employee is still active with the Employer).
* This is subject to terms and conditions and details might vary depending on the plan your Employer signed up with Edge.
