Definition of a Credit

A 'credit' in Outbase, is a key unit within our platform that signifies successful email address verification. It's a marker of quality assurance, confirming that an email address you add to your campaign is valid and deliverable. This verification is vital for the effectiveness of your outreach strategy.

When a Credit is Used

In Outbase, a credit is utilized each time a new contact is successfully added to your campaign, which involves two key conditions: the contact must be part of a connected target audience list, and the campaign needs to be active. Once these criteria are met, and you add a contact, the system verifies the email address of the new prospect. This verification process is crucial as it ensures that your campaign is focused on verified and reachable email addresses, significantly boosting the likelihood of successful outreach. For every email address that is verified as part of this process, one credit is consumed. This direct link between credit usage and email verification underscores the value of having a high-quality contact list, as it directly impacts the effectiveness of your campaign.

Credit Return Policy in Outbase

Outbase is committed to the fair and efficient use of resources, as reflected in our credit return policy. If an email sent to a verified address fails to deliver (bounces back), our system automatically credits the used credit to your account. This ensures that your credits are only spent on successful email deliveries. It's important to note, that credits for emails that are successfully delivered will not be returned, irrespective of the recipient's response. This approach maintains a fair balance, ensuring that credits are used effectively while upholding the integrity of our system.
