Use Outgrow quizzes and calculators which are designed for conversion and engagement and push the leads collected to MailChimp using our Outgrow-MailChimp integration.

Follow two simple steps to start sending the leads you collect on Outgrow to MailChimp

To access this integration, navigate to the Builder > Configure on your Outgrow calculator or quiz. Click the Configure button on MailChimp Integration.

On clicking configure a pop up appears where you will have to input the API key for your MailChimp account

To get your MailChimp API key head over to your MailChimp account. Click on the Account Name at the top of the left hand side bar and select Account.

On Account page click on Extras and a drop down will appear. From here, select API Keys.

Under Your API keys heading you'll find API Key for your MailChimp account. ​​​​​

Copy this API key and paste it on MailChimp Configure pop up on Outgrow.

Next step will be to select the Mailchimp list you want the lead added to.

For Freelancer and Essential plans
If you have subscribed to Essentials or a lower tier plan then only name and email fields from Outgrow will be mapped by default to the respective fields from MailChimp. All you need to do is to test connection between Outgrow and MailChimp. A test record will be pushed to MailChimp's mailing list selected in previous step.

Business and Enterprise plans allow you to choose mapping between fields from both the apps. Set up integration by mapping MailChimp fields with fields from your Outgrow calculator or quiz.

Once you are done mapping the fields, we will push a test lead to MailChimp with sample values. If connection and mapping is successful you will see the test lead in your MailChimp mailing list.

Your Outgrow calculator or quiz should now be successfully integrated with MailChimp! When you are done with mapping of field MailChimp block shown below will show Active Status, indicating that new leads will be forwarded to MailChimp.

Click on the small dropdown on top of the MailChimp block to see actions that can be performed on MailChimp integration after it has been set up.

Re-configure- In case your MailChimp credentials have changed or you want to connect Outgrow with a different MailChimp account then you will have to Reconfigure your MailChimp integration to continue getting Outgrow leads in your MailChimp account.

Sync- If due to some error in connection your leads from a calculator or quiz have not been sent to MailChimp then you can Sync the leads to your MailChimp account after re-configuring. All the leads which were not sent to your account will be sent to MailChimp when you sync.

Deactivate - In case you don't want to send leads from a calculator or quiz to MailChimp, you can simply deactivate it.

For every Outgrow calculator or quiz you create you will have to activate or deactivate the integration from config section on the builder, in order to start or stop sending leads collected on Outgrow to MailChimp.

Any custom field added to MailChimp will automatically show up in the dropdown on mapping pop up. If your plan allows, you can easily map any value on Outgrow with any predefined or custom field on MailChimp.

Testing your Integration

When everything is setup we suggest you to test it out and make sure everything is working as you expect it. Publish your calculator or quiz, submit a lead on calculator or quiz, and check that the new lead shows up in Mailchimp (it can take up to a couple minutes).
