This article provides some guidance for getting the most out of OMS Interprofessional scenarios.

How many people can participate in an OMS Interprofessional scenario?

The OMS Interprofressional platform supports 3-5 active participants.

For best experience, we recommend limiting active "in scenario" participants to:

  • Two active ("in VR") participants

  • One "in VR" observer

How can I extend the Interprofessional scenario to more than 3-5 participants?

Top tip: have your Observer enter the Interprofessional scenario from a computer and extend their display to an external monitor (or share screen using a video conferencing software) to enable learners to observe the scenario management.

Tips for Optimized Experience

  • Avoid switching roles in scenario

  • Ensure all active "in VR" participants join and leave the scenario at the same time

  • Ensure all active "in VR" participants have a stable internet connection. You should be looking for 0% packet loss using this test

  • Ensure all active "in VR" participants are using the same version of the OMS software (the latest version can be found on the Getting Started page of your OMS account)

  • Ensure all active "in VR" participants are part of the same Group on the OMS system (an institutional Administrator will need to check this for you on the OMS Web App)

Please note: OMS Interprofessional (multi-player) scenarios are in Beta release. We expect minor bugs and some instability in platform experience.
