Below we will dive into the process for the first time you login as a new user. Keep in mind that if your organization uses SSO, Microsoft, or Google logins, the process is slightly different.
Step 1: Open the invite email
You will get an email with a link to reset your password. On the email, click the "Reset Password" button. This will take you to the portal.
Step 2: Update your password and login
Enter your new password in the provided fields.
Click "Change Password"
Click on "Change Password" to save the changes.
Click "Continue with Email/SSO"
Type in your email and click on "Sign In"
Enter your password and click "Sign In".
Step 3: Setup MFA
Next, select "Already have an authenticator" as this will move you on to the next screen with the QR code.
Grab your mobile device as you will need to use an authenticator app on there to get started.
Step four: Authenticator App:
If you already have an authenticator app on your mobile phone, feel free to use that.
If not. follow these steps to download and use Google Authenticator:
Go to the app store and download "Google Authenticator"
Login with your work email
Select "Add a code"
Choose "Scan a QR code"
Scan the code on app.paladin.net.
Google Authenticator will then add the PALADIN account and will automatically generate a code, which will change every 30 seconds or so. You will use this code back in the portal.
Note: If you already have Google Authenticator, click the "+" on the bottom right and select the "Scan a QR code" option to add PALADIN
Back in the portal, enter the PALIDIN verification code from the authenticator app on your phone.
Click on "Verify Code" to confirm the code.
Step 5: Get to Know the Portal Layout
The menu can be found on the top bar.
Dashboard: Where you will view report metrics
Applicants: All completed scans are hosted here
WebID: Hub for sending out remote authentication invites
Old Portal (secureidcloud.com) User
Step 1: Go to the Portal
When you visit secureidcloud.com, you'll see a message directing you to the new portal at app.palidin.net.
Step 2: Choose a Login Option
Once you're at the new portal, choose one of the following login options:
Login with Google or Microsoft: If your work uses Google or Microsoft, you can log in directly with your company account
Select either "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Microsoft"
Use your Google or Microsoft email password (not your old PALIDIN Portal password)
No password or MFA reset needed!
Login with SSO: If you usually login using SSO, select "Continue with Email/SSO"
Type in your email address on the next page
You will then be taken to your SSO login
No password or MFA reset needed!
Login with Email: To login with your email address, select "Continue with Email/SSO"
You’ll need to reset your password and MFA using this method
Step 3: Reset Your Password - for email login only
If you selected to log in with your email, you’ll need to reset your password.
Enter your email address and click Forgot Password
You will then be directed to type in your email on the "Forgot your password" page
Type in your email and select Reset Password
Step 4: Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) - for email login only
You will now be prompted to set up MFA for added security. Follow these steps:
Note: If you previously had FraudFighter on your Authenticator app, go ahead and delete it as you will need to add a new account.
Open the app and add a new account by selecting the + button.
For account type, choose Other.
Use the app’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on the portal.
Enter the verification code from the app and click Verify Code.
Once verified, click Go to Dashboard to access the new portal.
Step 5: Get to Know the New Portal Layout
There are a few changes in the menu and navigation:
The menu has moved from the left-hand side to the top bar.
Historical Records can now be found under the "Applicants "section.
You can search for previous scans by simply entering the applicant's name.
All scans conducted by the same applicant will be grouped under their profile.
The WebID module is now labeled "WebID".
To view your subscription details, go to the "Billing" section.
