Operating in a purely digital world comes with loads of advantages, but we must be even more cautious about who we trust and what we believe.

At Pandar, ensuring the safety of our customers and their hard-earned funds is of utmost importance. Security informs every part of our service. Digital currency transactions are irreversible, making them a popular target for scammers and phishers. We’ve always put this out, but here’s it again: we do not trade on Social Media and would never request confidential details from you!

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I’M BEING SCAMMED?

Phishing is one of the easiest ways scammers can get hold of your digital assets. Phishing scams have been happening for decades. It occurs when a scammer convinces you to disclose private data or click on a malicious link through an email. For example, the image below:

Things to watch out for;

  • Incorrect Instagram username. Kindly note that our only Instagram account is Pandar.NG

  • “Pandler” instead of “Pandlar.”

  • Profile pictures placement.

How to avoid WhatsApp scams

Pandar ONLY has a WhatsApp contact for support and not for accepting trades. If someone claiming to be from Pandar contacts you with unsolicited offers about crypto investments or accepting gift cards, report and block them immediately!

  • Potential scammers will attempt to exploit unsuspecting people via WhatsApp by enticing them with lucrative cryptocurrency investments.

  • They typically send shortened external links such as https://bit.ly to lure you into providing personal and banking details.

  • Refrain from interacting with unknown people on WhatsApp, clicking on links sent to you, or allowing “Pandar Representatives” to create or manage accounts on your behalf

How to avoid Instagram scams

  • Potential scammers usually attempt to send you a direct message on Instagram and will enter into a conversation with you about trading or “making money.”

  • As mentioned earlier, avoiding interaction with people you don’t know on social media is best.

  • Pandar will never attempt to make contact with you via our Instagram page.

We’re currently unverified on Instagram, and we’re working on getting a verification badge to make sure it’s easier for you to recognize legitimate Pandar Instagram channels.

How to avoid Telegram scams

Telegram is a powerful and popular platform in the crypto community. It’s a great way for crypto enthusiasts and companies in the industry to discuss news, share trends and event details with other community members. However, because of this, it’s also become a nifty tool for scammers to impersonate individuals or organizations to gain access to funds or accounts. Kindly note that our only telegram link is https://t.me/+pq8RY-fS_XthM2U8

Here’s a tip:

Instead of clicking on a link sent to you by a potential scam, hover over the cursor to see the actual URL. If you want to visit the site, type the address directly in your web browser instead of clicking on a link. Never click on the hyperlinks of an email or open the attachments unless you are 100% sure what they are and who sends them.

Also, be careful with emails asking you to reset your password or to manage an administrative problem in your account. Check the communication by forwarding it to Pandar or accessing your online account in case of doubt. If there is a legitimate problem, you should see it there.
