Pandar will always keep your money and digital assets safe, but only you can protect your wallets and accounts from being accessed by intruders. If your sign-in details are stolen and used to steal assets from your Pandar wallet, there's nothing you or Pandar can do to get it back.
That’s why we created this list of good practices to help you keep your account and wallets safe.
Unique passwords
We constantly advise our users about the extreme importance of using strong passwords. Not only must your Pandar login details be strong – but they must also be unique. We’re emphasizing unique because it’s good to note that If you’re using the same password on your Pandar account as your email or your social media accounts, then you’re betting the keys to your Pandar crypto wallet on you never having clicked on a phishing link.
Use unique combinations of alphabets, numbers, and special characters when creating your passwords to protect yourself.
Biometrics and Touch ID/ Face ID
This feature gives you the option to set up biometric authentication (Touch ID or Face ID if you use iOS) for various security features within your Pandar account, such as unlocking your app and confirming transactions.
Email security
Pandar will interact with you through your email from your first signup attempt. This is one of our ways of communicating with you. If criminals have access to your email, you might be at risk.
Here are a few things you can do to ensure your email is safe:
Set up two-factor authentication for your email address. Kindly check your email settings for how to go about this.
Use a unique and strong password.
It's recommended to update your password frequently. A strong password is at least 14 characters in length and contains a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols ( ~`!@#$%^&*()_-+={[}]|\:;"'<,>.?/).
Stay alert
Read any notifications sent by Pandar and report any activity that looks suspicious as quickly as possible to us through our in-app live chat feature or our support email address.
In summary, no time spent on improving security is ever wasted. Stay safe, and feel free to reach out to us if you have any security-related questions. We’re here to help.
