If you manage more than one property in ParkingPass, you can do it all from a single account. This article covers how to switch between properties, what's configured per-property vs. account-wide, and a few tips for keeping your day organized when you're managing several communities at once.
If you only manage one property, you can skip this article — most of what's here won't apply to you.
The Property Selector
The property selector sits in your left sidebar. It shows the name of the property you're currently viewing and lets you switch to any other property you have access to.
To switch properties:
Click the property selector at the top of the left sidebar.
Choose the property you want to view from the list.
The dashboard reloads with that property's data.
Everything on screen — dashboard widgets, sidebar counts, search results, reports, residents, vehicles — refreshes to show only the selected property.
Property-Specific vs. Account-Wide
It's worth understanding what is tied to a specific property and what applies to your account as a whole.
Property-Specific
The following are configured separately for each property and only show data for the currently selected property:
Dashboard widgets and statistics
Parking policy and rules
Property details and configuration
Resident directory and applications
Vehicle and permit records
Guest passes and public parking settings
Patrol activity, holds, and DNT list
Reports (Patrol Analytics, Expired Leases, Future Move-Outs, etc.)
Revenue share payouts (tracked per property)
Account-Wide
The following apply to your user account regardless of which property you're viewing:
Your login credentials and account settings
Announcements from the ParkingPass team
Help / Support tickets you submit
Feedback you submit through Provide Feedback
User access — which properties you can view and what you can do at each — is configured per property. See User Roles and Permissions.
Daily Workflow Tips
If you manage multiple properties, a few small habits make the day easier:
Check each property's dashboard separately
There's no combined dashboard across properties. Cycle through each one as part of your morning routine — the dashboard is designed to be a five-minute check, so even five or six properties only takes about half an hour. See Property Manager Quick Start: Your Daily Playbook for the recommended order.
Confirm the property before taking action
Always glance at the property name in the sidebar before you approve an application, edit a policy, or run a report. Actions are taken on the currently selected property, and it's easy to act on the wrong one if you've just switched.
Use search to jump straight to a resident or vehicle
If you remember a resident or plate but aren't sure which property they're at, the search panel still searches within the currently selected property. To find someone across properties, you'll need to switch and search at each one — or check your records to confirm the property first.
Stagger lease renewals and patrol reviews
Lease expirations and patrol-vendor reviews are property-specific. If multiple properties hit the same review windows, your inbox gets crowded. Spacing them out across the week or month makes it more manageable.
Keep parking policies consistent where you can
Each property has its own parking policy, but residents at one community may also visit another property you manage. Keeping core rules consistent — guest pass limits, permit types, enforcement timing — reduces confusion.
Common Questions
Can I see all my properties on one dashboard?
No. Each property's dashboard shows only that property's data. Switch between properties using the property selector.
Can I run a report across all my properties at once?
Reports are scoped to the currently selected property. To compare data across properties, run the same report at each one and combine the results in your own spreadsheet.
If I approve an application at one property, does the resident exist at my other properties?
No. Residents are tied to a specific property. If the same person lives at two of your properties (rare, but possible — e.g., an investor with units in two buildings), they need a separate resident record at each property.
How do I get access to a new property I just took over?
Your ParkingPass account contact or an existing admin at that property can add you as a user. If neither path is available, email support@parkingpass.com with the property name and your account email.
What happens if I select the wrong property and make a change?
Most changes can be undone (re-approving an application, editing a vehicle, etc.). For changes you can't easily reverse — like sending bulk resident invitations — contact support@parkingpass.com as soon as you notice the mistake.
Can different team members have access to different properties?
Yes. User access is configured per property, so a regional manager might have access to all of your properties while an on-site manager only has access to their own. See User Roles and Permissions.
Onboarding a New Property
If you're adding a new property to an existing account, the new property goes through a standard launch process — policy configuration, resident invitations, patrol setup, and so on. The fact that it's on your existing account doesn't shortcut that work, but you don't need to create a new login.
See New Property Setup: Your Launch Guide for the full walkthrough.
Important Notes
The property selector always reflects the active property. If a widget, report, or list looks wrong, your first troubleshooting step should be to confirm the correct property is selected.
Permissions are property-specific. You may have admin rights at one property and limited access at another — the sidebar and available actions adjust automatically based on your role at the active property.
If a property you expect to see is missing from the selector, your access at that property may have been removed or you may not have been added yet. Contact your account owner or ParkingPass Support.
