General Policy
In any paid contest, if a player in your entry is determined to have not played (DNP), their pick will be removed from the entry. We follow specific sport-based criteria to determine whether a player qualifies as DNP.
Once the DNP pick is removed, the contest will be settled based on the remaining valid picks. However, if fewer than two picks remain, or there is not at least one athlete from different teams remaining, the entire entry will be canceled and fully refunded.
⚠️ Note: In rare cases, ParlayPlay may exercise discretion and adjust entries outside these guidelines due to exceptional circumstances.
If a Player Is Pulled Out Mid-Game
Before the game starts:
If the player is injured or inactive before the game begins and does not play, the pick will be removed as a DNP.During the game:
If a player participates, even briefly, before being removed from the game, the pick is considered valid.
If an injury occurs mid-game, the pick is typically still considered valid.
If the pick is eligible for Reboot Injury Protection, it will be voided, and the contest will be settled based on the remaining picks.
If the pick is not eligible for DNP or Reboot Injury Protection, the pick remains valid even if the player is injured, ejected, or unable to finish the game.
How We Determine if an Athlete Did Not Play (DNP)
The criteria for determining a "Did Not Play" (DNP) status vary by sport:
Sport | DNP Criteria |
Football | An athlete is considered inactive if he or she plays zero snaps in the game (whether full or half). Kickers and punters that are designated as active will be considered active even if they don't attempt a kick or punt. |
Basketball | An athlete is considered inactive if he or she plays zero seconds in the game (whether full or half). |
Hockey | An athlete is considered inactive if he or she records zero time on the ice (whether full or half). |
Golf | The athlete is inactive if he/she does not complete all holes of a round. For hole-specific contests, completing the hole qualifies as active. If a round is not completed on the same day it was started, all contests will still be considered valid as long as the round is completed on the following day. |
eSports | DNP if the athlete does not participate in or complete all relevant maps in the contest. Technical issues during a map may result in DNP status. |
UFC/MMA | An athlete is considered inactive if he or she does not participate in a fight for at least one second. |
Baseball | • Pitcher is considered active if he pitched at least 1 full inning. |
Soccer | An athlete is considered active if he play at least 45 minutes in the game. |
Tennis | If a match is not completed on the same day it was started, all contests will still be considered valid as long as the match is completed on the following day. |
Cricket | Batter must face at least one delivery, including no-ball or wide ball, to be considered active. |
Handling DNP in Combo Picks
In a Combo Pick, if either player is marked as Did Not Play (DNP), the entire Combo Pick will be voided, even if the other player was active. Your contest will then be settled based on the remaining valid picks in your entry.
Impact on Payouts
When a pick is marked as Did Not Play (DNP), your contest payout may be adjusted or refunded depending on the remaining valid picks and contest requirements.
How DNP Affects Entries:
If a player is marked as DNP, their pick is removed from the contest.
The contest payout will be recalculated based on the remaining valid picks.
If fewer than two valid picks remain, or if contest rules (e.g., picks from multiple teams) are no longer satisfied, the entire entry will be canceled and fully refunded..
Payout Timing:
Payouts are issued after all contest matches have concluded and all valid picks have been finalized.
This process may take up to 24 hours, depending on when official statistics are received.
In conditional payout scenarios, your winnings are determined based on the final valid picks once all games have ended.
Payouts involving DNP adjustments are only processed after all relevant games in a contest have ended and stats are confirmed.
