How Platform Credits Work
Instead of charging per seat or per user, Parspec measures usage through Platform Credits. Here's what you need to know:
Your subscription tier determines how many Platform Credits you receive each billing period
Credits are spent when you and your team access key Parspec services
You can have unlimited users — credits are tied to activity, not headcount
What Uses Credits?
Each service costs a maximum of 1 credit per service type, per BOM. Versioning a submittal, O&M, or quote will never consume additional credits.

Parspec Submittal | 1 credit for datasheets + 1 additional credit if installation manuals/warranties are included |
Parspec O&M | 1 credit for installation manuals/warranties + 1 additional credit if datasheets are included |
Parspec Quote | 1 credit if the quote includes product pricing |
Product Finder | Credits deducted per user seat activated (prorated based on billing cycle) |
💡 Cross-service credit sharing: If you've already spent a credit to include datasheets in a Submittal, adding datasheets to an O&M Package for the same BOM costs nothing extra. The same applies to warranties and installation manuals.
Product Finder Seat Credits
Product Finder seats are activated per user and deducted from your credit balance:
Annual Plan: 100 credits per user/year
Monthly Plan: 10 credits per user/month
You can activate seats at any time and reassign them to different users throughout your billing period. Credits are prorated — for example, activating a seat halfway through an annual plan costs 50 credits.
What Happens When You Run Out of Credits?
1. Auto-Upgrade (Default) If your team uses all available credits, your subscription automatically upgrades to the next tier and your billing cycle resets. Admins can turn this off in Settings → Plan & Payment.
2. Manual Refresh (if auto-upgrade is disabled) You can either:
Wait until the end of your current billing period
Contact the Parspec sales team to discuss renewal options
Upgrading, Downgrading, or Cancelling
You can manage your plan directly in the app under Plan & Payment, or by reaching out to the sales team.
Upgrades take effect immediately
Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle
Unused Credits
Annual plans: Unused credits do not roll over
Monthly plans: Unused credits roll over for up to one month
FAQs
Does every user need their own credits? No — credits are shared across your account. You can have unlimited users on a single subscription.
Does updating or versioning a document cost more credits? No. Versioning submittals, O&Ms, or quotes does not consume additional credits.
Is quoting available on all plans? No. Quoting is only available on Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Enterprise subscriptions. Contact sales to learn more.
Where can I see my credit balance? Go to Settings → Plan & Payment in the app to view your current usage and remaining credits.
