When a customer books luggage at your location, you can view the types and sizes of the bags they plan to store. This information helps you manage your available space more effectively and ensures you’re prepared to meet the specific needs of each customer.
Why is it important to know the bag sizes?
Knowing the bag sizes is essential for several reasons:
Space management: It helps you organize and allocate storage space more efficiently.
Accurate bookings: If a customer selects the wrong bag size, you can ask them to update their booking to reflect the correct size, ensuring the pricing aligns with the actual storage needs.
Improved service: By knowing what to expect, you can better prepare to handle customers’ luggage, providing a smoother and more efficient experience.
What are the different bag sizes?
We categorize bags into the following sizes:
Small: Typically include items like backpacks, purses, small duffel bags, and briefcases. They are compact and easy to carry, generally fitting within airline carry-on size limits.
Large: These are larger items like suitcases, oversized duffel bags, and large backpacks. They usually exceed carry-on size and may require more storage space.
Odd-sized: These are items that don’t fit standard luggage shapes or sizes and can be fragile. Examples of odd-sized baggage include bicycles, skis and snowboards, golf bags, larger musical instruments, surfboards and kiteboards, wheelchairs, high chairs, cars and buggies.
Where can I see the bag sizes for each booking?
When a customer books storage at your location, the bag size will be displayed on the booking details screen within your app.
Can I limit the types of bags my location accepts?
Currently, you cannot set preferences for the types of bags your location accepts. However, this feature is coming soon! In the future, you’ll be able to specify which bag sizes you can accommodate based on your available storage space. Stay tuned for updates!
What if a customer brings a bag size different from what they booked?
If a customer arrives with a bag that is larger or smaller than what was booked, ask them to contact customer support for assistance on their booking page. Once the correct bag size is added, any additional charges will be applied automatically.
Depending on your storage capacity, you can decline the booking if it doesn’t fit your space requirements.
