With the Competitor Report, you can benchmark your store visits against up to 4 competitors. This article explains how.

This article covers:

  • Switching between datasets

  • Editing the visualization

  • Filtering by store segment

↳ Switching between datasets

By clicking the Store visits data button at the top of the screen, three options will be revealed:

  • Growth - If you want to see the percentage growth in visits

  • Total Visits - If you want to see the absolute number of visits per chain

  • Normalized Visits - If you want to see the total visits, normalized by a consistent factor

↳ Modifying the visualization

Changing the visualization

Regardless of which dataset you choose, the VISUALIZATION dropdown lets you switch between two ways of displaying the data:

  • Bar Chart

  • Line Graph

Changing the date range

Clicking the SELECTED PERIOD or - if you're viewing Period-on-Period Visits - the COMPARISON PERIOD dropdown will load the date picker.

Here you have three ways to select the date ranges:

  1. Selecting preset options from the menu on the left

  2. Selecting dates on the calendar input

  3. Inputting dates numerically

Learn more about how to use the date picker here.

↳ Filtering by store segment

Filter by location

By clicking the filter icon in the menu bar, you are able to filter the data by location.

Here you have three options:

  1. Filter by State

  2. Filter by City

  3. Filter by Center

You can only select one type of location at a time, but you are able to select multiple options from that type.

For example:

  • You can filter by California and Nevada

  • You can't filter by California and Dallas, Texas

Filter by same stores traffic

At the bottom right hand corner of the data visualization, you will see the Include same stores only toggle. By default, this is set to on - and it filters the data to only include stores that have been open throughout the whole time period.
