If your charging session fails to stop, try these steps:
Firstly, go through the steps slowly and calmly again, ensuring that you follow any local guidance.
Secondly, attempt to stop the charge session from your car. Some cars (such as Renault Zoe) have a button inside the car that stops the charger, while others require the car to be locked and then unlocked with a "double unlock" press on the keys (e.g. Jaguar iPace). For vehicles with proximity keys, you may also need to walk away from your car for a short distance before returning and trying again (e.g. VW iD3).
The third step is to contact the charge point network directly. All telephone numbers are listed within the Paua app and Paua partner apps. Simply click on the "Assistance" tab in the charge point detail screen, click the number, and your phone will start dialling to call for assistance.
Finally, some units may have a "big red button." If necessary, press it, and it will stop the power supply to the unit. However, please avoid using this option as it requires the charge point to reset, which can take some time before the unit is available again for other users.
