In this guide, we'll walk through the process of creating an eye-catching newsletter profile page that appeals to advertisers and helps you win sponsorships.
What's a Newsletter Profile?

How to Create or Edit a Paved Profile
Sign up for a Paved Publisher account, or log in to your existing account. Click on your name and select the Profiles option in the drop-down.
Then, click to create a new profile or edit an existing one.
1. Overview
On the first page of the profile builder, provide your newsletter name and organization website. Based on your URL, we’ll try to auto-fill your logo.
Next, use the form fields to describe your newsletter and your audience. Most advertisers on Paved appreciate plenty of details on demographics and job titles.

Sponsorship Formats
Toggle the switches to choose which sponsorship formats you’d like to offer on the Paved platform and click Next. Most people start with the Sponsored Email format.
2. Previous Ads
In the next step, you'll enter the names of any of your previous sponsors. Including companies you’ve worked with can help build credibility with potential advertisers.
You can add multiple advertisers (we encourage you to add as many as you can!) Having this information on your Paved profile is a great signal to potential advertisers that you have successfully supported ad campaigns previously.
You can skip this step if you haven’t run sponsorships before.
3. ESP Connection
Next, connect your ESP to Paved to access real-time send stats for your campaigns. Just select your ESP, enter your API Key, and you're all set! Plus, with the Verified Badge, you can trust the accuracy and reliability of your data.
Integrating your ESP will also allow us to create a media kit to add to your profile. These numbers will update every 30 days, providing potential sponsors with fresh, data-driven demographic information.

4. Sponsorships
In the Sponsorships section of your Profile Settings, provide specific information about the sponsorships you're offering. You can also turn on Smart Pricing to set the minimum and maximum price you're willing to accept.
Sponsored Email
For a sponsored email, we'll need some basic information about your list—number of subscribers, open rate (this is a percent), estimated click rate (also a percent), the price you'd like to set, and your sending schedule.
We'd also like to know how often you send emails to your list (daily, weekly, monthly, etc). Lastly, include what you'd need from an advertiser if they run a sponsored email campaign with you. Typically this includes creative specs on text and images.
Dedicated Email
Similar to the sponsored email section, you'll need to include info on your subscribers, typical email engagement metrics, and a price you set for a dedicated email send.
You may want to offer additional campaign features (this makes a campaign with you more attractive to advertisers). If so, you can choose those here.
Sponsored Post
Provide a bit more information on what you'd like to see in the sponsored post, and who should write it. You may also want to include any time restrictions you have for sponsored posts.
For instance, do you need 2 weeks' advance notice to prepare a sponsored post? Including this information here may reduce the number of requests you get for last-minute sponsored post campaigns.
5. Review
Once you’ve completed your profile, go ahead and preview it, then submit it for review. Our team will look over it and get back to you within 1-2 business days. Check your inbox for an email once it’s live.
Optional Step: Add More Profiles
If you have more than one newsletter or publication, we encourage you to add multiple profiles to Paved.
To add additional sites to your Paved account:
Once you add your first profile, you will see the option to add additional profiles in your account settings.
Click on your account avatar (top right of the site) and click on "Profiles"
From there, simply click on "Add Profile" and go through the steps to add an additional profile.
Next Steps
Now that your profile is ready to roll, it’s time to kickstart your newsletter sponsorship journey—beginning with crafting your booking storefront and connecting with stellar advertisers.
