Welcome to Pavilion Bookings! By using our platform, you agree to the following payment terms. These cover the process for booking, payment collection, fees, refund policies, and the responsibilities of all users. Please review carefully.

1. Payment Process

• All payments are securely processed through Paystack, a trusted third-party payment provider. Upon confirming a booking, the full payment amount is collected from the guest.

• Payments must be made in Nigerian Naira (NGN) using available payment methods through Paystack.

2. Fees and Charges

• Each booking is subject to the following charges:

Nightly Listing Fee: The per-night rate set by the host, which varies by listing.

Caution Fee: A refundable amount held to cover potential property damage, returned to the guest after checkout, pending condition verification.

Service Fee: A 5% fee used to support the operations and maintenance of Pavilion Bookings.

• Upon booking confirmation, all fees are collected, and service fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in the refund policy.

3. Payout to Hosts

• Hosts are paid 24 hours after guest check-in. This time window allows Pavilion Bookings to facilitate any issues that may arise during initial check-in, creating a fair and trustworthy environment for both parties.

• Hosts can expect their payouts via Paystack, as per the processing times and availability of Paystack’s service.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policies

• Pavilion Bookings allows hosts to select one of three cancellation policies to apply to their listings, visible to guests before booking:

Flexible: Guests receive a full refund if they cancel at least 1 day before check-in; otherwise, no refund is provided, and the host is paid in full.

Moderate: Guests receive a full refund if they cancel at least 3 days before check-in; otherwise, 80% of the booking fee is refunded, with 20% paid to the host.

Strict: Guests receive a full refund if they cancel at least 7 days before check-in; otherwise, 50% of the booking fee is refunded, with 50% paid to the host.

• In the event of a no-show, hosts must report within the app, allowing Pavilion Bookings to contact the guest. If the guest is unresponsive within 24 hours, the host will receive the payout, and the caution fee will be refunded to the guest.

5. Damage Fees and Accountability

• Guests must notify the host immediately of any damages during their stay. If damages are reported after check-out, Pavilion Bookings holds the caution fee until an investigation is complete.

• If it is confirmed that the guest caused the damage, the caution fee will be released to the host. Should damages exceed the caution fee, the guest will be notified of additional fees payable within the app. Failure to pay may lead to further legal actions.

6. User Responsibilities and Eligibility

• Users must ensure payment accuracy and comply with all payment terms. Users who fail to meet payment obligations may face restricted access, booking cancellations, or penalties.

• All users must meet Pavilion Bookings’ verification standards to complete bookings or publish listings, providing accurate information throughout the process.

7. Refund Processing and Timelines

• Refunds, if applicable, will be processed back to the original payment method used at the time of booking. Processing times may vary based on Paystack and the user’s payment provider, with an estimated time of 3-5 business days for eligible refunds.

8. Dispute Resolution and Support

• Pavilion Bookings strives to resolve disputes directly within the platform. Users can report payment issues through the app or by contacting support at support@pavilionbookings.com. Pavilion Bookings will mediate disputes based on our policies to achieve a fair outcome.

9. Changes to Payment Terms

• Pavilion Bookings reserves the right to modify these payment terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of Pavilion Bookings after updates signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Bank Account Verification

  • Funds can only be withdrawn to a bank account matching the user’s name as verified during identity verification with Dojah. This helps ensure account security and integrity.

11. Taxes and Additional Charges

  • Users are responsible for any taxes related to their bookings unless otherwise specified.
