My pet dog or cat had diarrhea (or felt sick) after trying Pawy Fresh Meals. What should I do?

Diarrhea / Does not tolerate well / Digestive disorders

Updated over a week ago

Although most of our pets experience a better digestion with our fresh Pawy meals, sometimes some of them experience digestive issues due to various reasons.

Was the transition from the old food to our fresh Pawy meals handled adequately?

  • If your pet has a particularly sensitive digestive system, consider an even slower transition than the recommended 7 days: add an extra spoonful of Pawy every day.

  • It is not uncommon for our faithful companions to have their digestive systems disrupted by a new type of food. We recommend that you include probiotics in the meals over a medium-term period (20 days).

Our clients who have noted this problem have seen excellent results with this method. You can find these probiotics easily at your local pet store.

Have you tried several recipes?

We encourage you to try another Pawy recipe (we offer 3 different ones), as some animals may be intolerant to a specific recipe.

Is it usually fed a dry diet?

Some animals, used to a dry diet, have difficulty digesting the vegetables in our fresh meals. To help them adapt and facilitate digestion, you can mix Pawy meals during the first few days.

If your dog was previously fed dry kibble, adding cooked white rice (cooked twice as long as normal) may improve the situation.

Were the fresh meals properly handled?
