Learn how to set up open shift on Payroller with our simple guide below.
Step 1: Go to ‘Roster’.
Step 2: Click ‘Add’.
Step 3: Choose ‘Shift’.
Step 4: Under ‘Employee’, choose specific employees or select ‘Open to all’.
Step 5: Pick a specific role or choose ‘Any role’.
Note: Location can be selected or left blank.
Step 6: Set the ‘Start’ and ‘End times’.
Step 7: Set the duration for ‘Meal’ and ‘Rest breaks’.
Note: Toggle on paid meal and rest breaks, or leave it greyed out for unpaid breaks. You can also add ‘Note’ if necessary.
Step 8: Select the applicable date(s).
Step 9: Click on ‘Save’.
Step 10: ‘Publish’ the shift to notify employees.
Please note that when an employee claims an ‘Open Shift’, it will be added to their roster automatically if no manager approval is needed. If approval is required, the shift will only appear on the roster once it’s approved.
