Learn how to make a recurring shift in Payroller with our simple guide below.

Step 1: Go to ‘Roster’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Add Shift’ button.

If your employee is already rostered, you can simply click on the date to add an additional shift

Step 3: Select the employee who will be working.

Step 4: Enter the Start and End time for the shift.

Step 5: Add any Meal, Rest breaks, and Notes if needed.

You also have the option to indicate whether the breaks are paid.

Specifying whether a meal break is paid will affect calculations on the rosters and pay runs generated from them.

Step 6: Select ‘Custom recurrence’.

Step 7: Choose the Start date for the recurrence.

Step 8: Set the repeat occurrence to repeat every Day, Week, or Month.

If you select weekly, specify the days of the week.

For monthly, determine whether it recurs on a specific day or date each month.

Step 9: Set the recurrence end date.

Please note if no recurrence end date is selected, rostered shifts will recur forever.

Step 10: Click ‘Save’ on the Custom recurrence box.

Step 11: Click ‘Save’ again.

This shift will now automatically be added to the roster.
