Learn how to make a recurring shift in Payroller with our simple guide below.
Step 1: Go to ‘Roster’.
Step 2: Click on ‘Add’.
If your employee is already rostered, you can simply click on the date to add an additional shift
Step 3: Choose ‘Shift’.
If the employee has already been rostered, you can click on the date to add another.
Step 4: Choose the ‘Employee’.
Step 5: Select their ‘Role’.
Step 6: Enter the ‘Start and End times’.
Step 7: Add a ‘Meal break’, ‘Rest break’, and ‘Notes’ if needed.
Note: You can also mark whether the breaks are paid or unpaid. Please remember that this affects both roster calculations and pay run generated from rosters.
Step 8: Choose ‘Custom recurrence’.
Step 9: Select the ‘Roster start date’.
Step 10: Set whether the shift would recur every Day, Week, or Month.
For Weekly recurrence, choose the days of the week the shift should recur.
For Monthly recurrence, decide whether the shift recurs on a specific day or date.
Step 11: Set the recurrence end date.
Please note that if you don’t set an end date, the shift will continue to recur.
Step 12: Click ‘Save’ in the ‘Custom recurrence’ box.
Step 13: Click ‘Save’ again to finish.
The recurring shift will now automatically be added to the roster.
