My PDF.co Output Link Expires—How Can I Keep It Permanent?

Updated over a month ago

By default, PDF.co output links expire after 1 hour for security and performance.

You can extend expiration up to 24 hours using the expiration parameter (available on Business 2 and higher).

Important: PDF.co does not provide permanent file hosting. To keep files longer, upload them to a cloud storage service like Google Drive or Dropbox.

How to Store Output Files Permanently

Use these two steps:

  1. Generate the file using PDF.co (API, Zapier, Make).

  2. Upload the file to cloud storage using an integration.

Example: Upload to Google Drive in Zapier

  • Use a PDF.co module (e.g., PDF Filler, Split, HTML to PDF) to create the output file.

  • Add a “Upload File” action in Google Drive inside Zapier.

  • Use the output URL from PDF.co as the upload input.

This saves the file in Drive with a non-expiring link.
