Fee Settings

Use this screen to add fees to your event.

Registrations

Registration fee. Enter the cost to register for your event as an active participant.

  • Note. Other registration items such as 'Audit Event' will be added later as a ticket.

Refunds

The refund percentages you enter here will be displayed on the public event page so all are aware of your policies in advance.

  • Note: The percentages you enter here will not trigger automatic refunds. These percentages will only be displayed on the public event page to inform your customers in advance. All refunds will be manually processed in your 'Manage Events' dashboard.

Stalls, Bedding, and Feed

Select the fees you wish to sell at your event, as well as the quantity and price.

Notes you add here will be visible on the public event page and during the registration process.

If you wish to add a custom fee, click the custom fee button.

  • Note: The 'Duration' drop-down menu does not multiply the item - it simply describes the item.

    • For example, if your event runs for 3 days, and a customer buys a stall listed with a daily cost, they will need to purchase 3 stalls - the software will NOT automatically charge them for 3 days. If you wish to sell an item at a stand-alone price, select 'Fixed' from the drop-down to indicate it is a one-off charge.

Other fees

Pegasus has included some commonly used other fees, but you can add any fee you wish by clicking the 'Add other fee' button.

Governance fees

Turn these fees on to include them in your registration fees.

If you need to add a custom governance fee, click the 'Add governance fee' button.

A few things to note:

  • Pegasus does not add the correct governance fee by default. However, if you click the question mark next to each fee, you can see the $ amount for this fee most recently listed by the respective governing body.

  • Pegasus does not charge a % on governance fees. If in the 'Payments' tab, you choose to pass Pegasus' fees to the rider, Pegasus will add that % to every fee you add to your event. Pegasus will not add a % to any of the Governance fees though.

  • Pegasus will pay the governance fees. The Governance fees collected during an event will not be deposited into your account. Instead, Pegasus will collect the fees and send them through to the relevant governing body. This means you no longer have to manage governance fees when you use Pegasus to host your events.

Who pays governing body fees?

Pegasus will pay the governing body fees.

Currently, event organizers collect all the governing body fees and then send them to the governing body when the event is finished.

Once Pegasus supports events that require the collection of governing body fees, Pegasus will collect the governing body fees and send them to the governing body.

This way, the event organizers do not need to worry about managing it.

This also ensures that when an event organizer transfers their funds from Pegasus to their bank account, Pegasus’ 5% does not include the governing body fees.

This means the event organizer receives 100% of the revenue they are supposed to receive.

Who stores governing body paperwork?

Pegasus stores governing body paperwork on the cloud in perpetuity.

Event organizers no longer need to save these documents. Event organizers will always be able to log in to their events and view the signed paperwork per person, per event.

But they will no longer need to worry about sending these documents to the governing bodies. Pegasus will be able to fill that function.
