Affiliate Program

How does Pegasus' affiliate program work?

Updated over a week ago

What is the Affiliate Program?

Our affiliate program rewards you for helping us grow the number of events on our platform.

When you create a Pegasus account you will receive a unique affiliate link.

When you share your affiliate link (email, message, social media), Pegasus will automatically track who created a Pegasus account using your link.

Once those accounts create events, Pegasus will track the total profits for each event and pay you equal to 1% of the event's total profits for 12 months.

This is our reward to you for helping us grow the number of events on our platform.

Where do I find my unique affiliate link?

To find your link, follow the following steps:

  1. Sign up and create a Pegasus account at www.thepegasus.app.

  2. Once logged in, click on the 'Earn' button in the bottom left-hand corner.

  3. This will bring you to your 'Affiliate Program' dashboard.

  4. On the first tab - the 'Account Details' tab - you will see a section that says 'Your Affiliate Link' with a web URL and a 'Copy' button.

  5. Click the 'Copy' button. This will activate a notification at the top of the screen that says 'Link Successfully Copied'.

  6. This is your unique affiliate link. Copy and share it as many times as you want, however you want.

Where do I get paid?

Pegasus will pay your commission into your PayPal account.

To connect your PayPal account to receive your earnings, follow these steps:

  1. Sign up and create a Pegasus account at www.thepegasus.app.

  2. Once logged in, click on the 'Earn' button in the bottom left-hand corner.

  3. This will bring you to your 'Affiliate Program' dashboard.

  4. On the first tab - the 'Account Details' tab - you will see a section that says 'PayPal' account with an empty box and a 'Save' button.

  5. Copy and paste your PayPal account email address into this box and click 'Save'.

  6. That's it - your PayPal account is now connected and Pegasus will pay your earnings into this account in line with our payment guidelines.

How long can I earn commission?

When an event organizer creates a Pegasus account using your link, you will start to earn commission on each event they host for 12 months.

For example, if they create an account using your link on January 1st, you will earn a commission on that account's events until December 31st of that same year.

How much do I earn per event?

You will earn equal to 1% of the event's total profits.

When an event organizer hosts an event on Pegasus, they process all payments and refunds through Pegasus. Once the event ends, they will settle all payments/refunds and close the event.

When they close the event, they will transfer the total profits remaining to their connected bank account.

You will earn 1% of the total they transfer to their bank account.

Pegasus will forecast this amount in the far right-hand column of your Activity dashboard (see image below).

How can I track my commissions?

To track your forecasted earnings, follow these steps:

  1. Once logged in, click on the 'Earn' button in the bottom left-hand corner.

  2. This will bring you to your 'Affiliate Program' dashboard. Click on the second tab - the 'Activity' tab.

  3. This will bring you to your 'Account Activity' dashboard. Here every event created by an event organizer who signed up to Pegasus using your unique affiliate link will be visible.

  4. In the far right-hand column, you will see your 'Commissions (forecasted)'. This is a number that automatically calculates 1% of the total sales for the event.

  5. This will give you a rough estimate of how much you stand to earn from this event.

Note. The 'Commissions (forecasted)' number will constantly change. It is a live calculation of 1% of the event's earnings. Therefore, as more sales are made and refunds processed, the event's profits will fluctuate, and therefore, so too will your forecasted commission. Only when the event organizer has closed the event and transferred the earnings to their bank account, will your commission number be confirmed.

When do I receive my payment?

Your commission will be deposited into your PayPal account monthly.

Each month, Pegasus will review the events connected to your account. If an event has ended in that past month and the event organizers have transferred the profits into their bank account, Pegasus will pay you your 1% commission.

Note. You will be paid in the month that the event organizer transfers the money to their bank account. For example, if the event has ended, but the event organizer has not yet transferred the earnings to their bank account, you will not be paid. Only when the organizer transfers the earnings from Pegasus to their bank account, will you be paid. In this case, you will be paid at the end of the month as per the monthly payout cycle.

Can I share my link with more than one person?

Yes. You can share your affiliate link with as many people as you want. If 20 event organizers sign up to Pegasus using your unique link, then you will earn a commission on events hosted by all 20.

If they create five events each, you will earn a commission on 100 events.

Note. We only pay commissions on earnings from events. So if a rider signs up with your link, you will not earn commission from the rider's activity on the platform.

What happens if I refer someone, but they do not use my link when creating an account?

If you refer someone, but they do not use your link to create their account, then you will not earn a commission from their events.

We can only guarantee commission on events that are connected to your account through our platform. To make that connection, they must create their Pegasus account using your unique affiliate link.

Therefore, if you wish to earn a commission on an organizer's events, make sure they use your unique affiliate link when they create their Pegasus account.

If an event organizer signs up and creates an event without using your affiliate link, and you only realize that after the fact, they will need to create a new account using your link and recreate their event. We cannot rectify the situation after the fact.
