Understanding Your Pemo Card Limits
Pemo cards come with specific limits set by your organization's Admin to help manage spending. Your Pemo wallet serves as a centralized account from which all your linked cards draw funds. Here's a quick rundown of the key limits and how they work: Not only can you view these limits, but you also have the flexibility to manage and tailor them to suit your needs using the Pemo app or web platform.
Cycle Spending Limit: This is the total amount you can spend within a defined period. Your Admin can set this limit on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. Once you hit the limit, your card will be declined until the next cycle begins.
Pemo Power Tip: A weekly cycle begins on a Sunday so if you change your limit mid week, it won't come into effect until the closest Sunday after you've made the change.
Maximum Transaction Limit: This cap controls the highest amount you can spend in a single purchase. If you attempt to make a purchase that exceeds this limit, your card will be declined.
ATM Withdrawals (Physical Cards Only): If your Admin enables ATM withdrawals, you’ll be able to withdraw cash from ATMs using your card.
ATM Withdrawal Limit (if withdrawals are enabled): Your Admin can also set a withdrawal limit for the card. This limit controls how much cash you can withdraw from ATMs. If the limit is reached, any further withdrawals will be declined.
Allowed Spending Categories: Your Admin has pre-approved certain categories for spending with your Pemo card. Purchases outside of these categories will be declined, ensuring your card is used only for authorized expenses.
Allowed Spending Locations: Your Admin can restrict where your card can be used by selecting from the following options:
International: Your card can be used for transactions globally.
United Arab Emirates (Local): Only local transactions within the UAE will be allowed. All international transactions, including online purchases, will be declined.
Selected Countries: Transactions are permitted only in specific countries chosen by your Admin.
Transaction Types (Coming Soon): Your Admin can enable or restrict different types of transactions, including:
Online Payments: For transactions made online.
POS Transactions: For in-person payments made using a Point of Sale (POS) terminal.
Cash Withdrawal Limit
To ensure compliance with UAECBE (United Arab Emirates Central Bank regulations) and maintain accurate accounting of cash transactions, we've set limits on all cash withdrawals. These limits represent the maximum allowable amount but may be lower based on restrictions set by the administrator of your Pemo account. See limits below. Additionally, users should know that some plans may allow the issuance of multiple physical cards, which could provide added flexibility in managing withdrawals. For further assistance or specific withdrawal details, users can refer to their account plan or contact Pemo Support.
Transaction (AED) | Daily (AED) | Weekly (AED) | Monthly (AED) |
10,000 | 20,000 | 35,000 | 70,000 |

Understanding Authorized Amounts and Balance Impacts
Authorized amounts are temporarily deducted from your available card limit but are not yet finalized. Here’s what you need to know:
The amount is put on hold until the merchant processes the transaction.
If the transaction is completed, the deduction becomes permanent.
If the merchant doesn’t process the transaction, the held amount is released, usually within 7 days, and is added back to your available balance. This process ensures you have clarity on pending expenses and can plan your spending better.
