Set up a location for Tap in / Tap out

Configure locations for our employees' clocking times.

As an administrator, you can configure the clock in and out of work from the mobile app.


Set up location

To enable the geofence technology to locate when an employee enters or exits the specified area and clocks them in, follow these steps:

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Click Settings then Mobile.

  3. Click the + plus icon then select In Use to make the location live.

  4. Give your location a name and enter a relevant postcode.

  5. Click Find Address.

    • To show the coordinates for the address, tap Find Latitude or Longitude from the address.

    • Use GMT Offset and select the required offset based on the location.

  6. Click Next, then amend the size of the area that is part of your geofence location within at least an 80-metre radius and click Save.

πŸ“ŒNote: Ensure you allow permission for this app to always access your location data.

Now you can connect your new location to a Beacon, use our QR code and scanner, or even give employees both options.


Who can use this location?

To specify a group of employees for each location, use the filters available:

  1. At the right-hand end of the location row, tap the eye icon.

  2. If relevant, apply the following filters:

    • Companies.

    • Locations.

    • Departments.

    • Job role.

    • Employment Type

  3. Specify who you want to include or exclude from a certain clock in setting using the following options:

    • Specific Employee(s).

    • Exclude Employee(s).

You're ready to set up a beacon or generate your QR code for your employees.
