Access the Property Type Filter
Steps
Go to the Search page.
Locate the Property Type filter in the filter panel.
Select one or more property types.
Your search results will update automatically based on your selections.
Understanding Property Types
From the Search page, choose one or more property types to narrow your results.
Available property types may include:
Property Type | Definition |
Condo | A condominium unit where the owner holds title to the individual unit and shared interest in the building’s common areas. |
Condoop | A condominium building structured with cooperative ownership rules. |
Coop | A cooperative unit where ownership represents shares in a corporation that owns the building, rather than direct ownership of real property. |
Townhouse (Single-Family) | A townhouse designed for occupancy by one household. |
Townhouse (Multi-Family) | A townhouse configured for occupancy by multiple households. |
Deatched Home | A free-standing residential structure not attached to another building. |
Rental Bldg (Rentals Only) | A residential building classified for rental use. This option appears only when Rentals is selected. |
Sales and Rentals
In NYC, Property Type selections are available under both Sales and Rentals, with the exception of Rental Bldg, which appears only under Rentals.
💡 Sales and Rentals cannot be selected simultaneously within the same search.
