How do brand voice and quiz language work?

Use brand voice and the language setting in PerfectMatch to get AI-generated quiz copy that sounds like your brand, in your store's language.

Written by ZP Support Team

Both settings live in the Quiz settings panel on the product step of the quiz creation flow in PerfectMatch: AI Shopping Quiz. They shape how the AI writes your quiz — the questions, answer options, and result copy.

Brand voice

Brand voice is a free-text description of how your brand sounds — playful or premium, technical or warm, minimalist or chatty. The AI uses it to steer the tone of everything it writes, so your quiz reads like it was written by you, not by a robot.

You have two ways to fill it in:

  • Auto-fill from my store — PerfectMatch analyzes your store's homepage and writes the brand voice description for you. You can edit the result before generating.

  • Write it yourself — Click the field and describe your tone in your own words.

Your brand voice is saved for future quizzes, so you only need to set it once. You can refresh or edit it any time you create a new quiz — use Refresh brand voice to re-analyze your homepage after a rebrand or copy update.

Quiz language

The Language setting controls which language the AI writes the quiz in:

  • Auto (default) — Detects your store's primary language and generates the quiz in it

  • Pick a language — Choose from 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and more

Good to know: the language setting applies to the AI-generated quiz content. The small built-in labels on the storefront widget — like "Add" and "Take Quiz Again" — are customized separately: set store-wide defaults under Settings → Localization, or override them per quiz in the builder's Text labels tab.
