How do result pages, recommended products, and fallback products work?

What shoppers see at the end of a PerfectMatch quiz, how recommended and fallback products are chosen, and how out-of-stock items are handled.

Every path through a PerfectMatch: AI Shopping Quiz ends on a result page — the "Your Perfect Match" screen where shoppers see the products picked for them, why they match, and an Add to cart button.

Recommended products

Each result page shows up to 2 recommended products. The AI preselects them when it generates your quiz, and you can fine-tune every result in the quiz builder: open the Questions & Results tab, expand a terminal answer, and click its Result page. From there you can swap products, edit the subtitle ("why these" text), and adjust each product's benefit bullets — or let AI write them for you with the regenerate buttons.

Fallback products

Fallback products (up to 2 per result) are your backup plan. If a recommended product is out of stock, PerfectMatch automatically shows a fallback product in its place, so the result page never comes up short. If both the main and fallback products are unavailable, that recommendation is skipped rather than shown as unbuyable.

A product can't be both a recommended and a fallback product on the same result page — if you try to add it to both lists, the builder keeps it in one place and lets you know.

Only available products are shown

Quiz results only ever recommend products that are available in your store. If a product is removed or becomes unavailable, it simply won't appear in results — no broken recommendations for your shoppers.

Keep every result covered

If any result page has no products at all, PerfectMatch shows a "Missing result pages" warning when you publish or update, so you can fill in the gap first. For a step-by-step guide, see "How do I assign product recommendations to quiz results?".
