If the bottle of your pump is no longer holding or screwing well to the connector, it is probably because it has been deformed during sterilization.
Even if your bottle has been slightly deformed, it could be forcing on the hub, and therefore pulling on the diaphragm. If this is the case, as the diaphragm is no longer 'glued' to the hub, there would be a lack of suction.
To check this, you can try to press manually the diaphragm & the connector to the top of the hub. If this makes the suction come back, this confirms the deformation.
You can purchase a new bottle at any time from our online store HERE.
Here is a reminder of the cleaning instructions to prevent this from happening again:
Before first use :
You can sterilize the parts of your breast pump before use (without the shell) by immersing them in a large pot of boiling water for up to 5 minutes.
⚠️ Be careful not to put a lid on your pieces when they are in the water, to keep the boiling low, to make sure that the pieces do not rest on the bottom of the pan, and not to forget them for more than 5 minutes. 2 to 3 minutes are enough.
Between each use :
You can clean the parts with soap and water or in the dishwasher between uses.
Here is a video tutorial demonstrating the cleaning instructions above.
Verify that you have a small silicone o-ring around your connector
If your bottle is leaking in the place where it connects to the connector, make sure that you have a small silicone o-ring around your connector and that it is securely in place.
If it is not, you can find a spare joint in the accessory bag. It is this joint that ensures the seal between the bottle and the connector and prevents the milk from flowing between the two.
For any doubts, don’t hesitate to send a picture of your bottle to our customer service. We are here to help!
