The sound of your pump may change over time — it might become louder, or you may no longer hear the motor and instead notice only a clicking noise. This type of change is often caused by a suction blockage. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.
Step 1: Check your alignment
Are all parts fitted snugly together?
Is the diaphragm pressed firmly into the back of the hub?
Did you forget the duckbill valve?
Are the holes at the end of the flange lined up top and bottom like they should be?
Did you make sure that all your parts are clean and dry before use?
ℹ️ Regularly check that the valve and diaphragm are in good condition and free from damage. We recommend replacing the silicone components every 3 months to guarantee a good suction.
In case of doubt, you can order spare silicone parts from our online shop.
Step 2: Update the Pump’s Firmware
Firstly, we recommend updating your pump's firmware to the latest version. Firmware updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can address such issues. To guide you through this process, we've prepared a detailed article on how to update your Perifit Pump's firmware. You can find it here.
Step 3: Perform a Reset
If updating the firmware doesn't resolve the problem, the next step is to perform a reset on your Perifit Pump. This can sometimes clear any temporary glitches or errors. Simply press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
Step 4: Contact Customer Support
If the issue persists even after updating the firmware and performing a reset, don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated customer support team. When contacting them, be sure to provide a detailed explanation of the problem and mention that you've already updated the firmware and performed a reset. Furthermore, sending a video demonstrating the issue can greatly assist our support team in diagnosing the problem accurately.
