Overview
The referral program lets your existing customers invite new customers by sharing their digital loyalty card. A customer shares their card, the new customer installs it, and when they make their first purchase, the system automatically issues rewards based on your settings.
You decide who receives the reward: only the referrer, only the new customer, or both. The system tracks referrals automatically — no integrations or manual actions required.
Tip: We recommend enabling the referral program on every card you create. It's a cost-effective way to grow your customer base without additional marketing spend — your satisfied customers become your salespeople.
How the referral program works
The customer (referrer) opens their digital card and taps Share Card.
The system generates a unique referral link or QR code tied to that customer.
The new customer installs the card using the referral link — this step is mandatory.
The new customer performs their first action (earns a stamp, makes a purchase, etc.).
The system issues rewards based on your configuration.
Important: Referral rewards are only given for genuinely new customers. If the person already exists in your customer list, no referral bonus will be awarded.
How to enable the referral program
Navigate to Cards in the left-hand menu.
Select the card you want to configure.
Open the card in editing mode.
Go to the Information section.
Scroll down to the Referral Program section.
Switch the program to Active.
After activation, additional referral settings become available.

When the reward is given
Choose when the system should award the bonus:
After first visit / first card use — The reward is given only after the new customer makes their first purchase and you receive payment. This is the recommended option
After card installation — The reward is given as soon as the new customer installs the card, regardless of whether they make a purchase

Set how many stamps, points, or visits the existing customer receives for inviting a new customer.
Reward for the new customer
Set how many stamps, points, or visits the new customer receives after joining through a referral link and completing their first action. This is separate from any welcome bonus you may have configured — the customer receives both.
You can configure rewards for only the referrer, only the new customer, or both.

Full referral rewards
These card types support configurable rewards for both the referrer and new customer:
Stamp card — Referrer and new customer can earn stamps
Cashback card — Referrer and new customer can earn bonus points
Multipass card — Referrer and new customer can earn bonus points and/or additional visits
Reward card — Referrer and new customer can earn points
Sharing only (no rewards)
These card types allow customers to share their card with others, but no referral bonus is awarded:
Discount card — Customers can share the card via a referral link, but no additional discount or bonus is given
Coupon card — Customers can share the coupon with a friend so they receive the same offer, but no referral reward is given to either party

Gift card — No referral program
Membership card — No referral program
How customers share their card
iPhone (Apple Wallet)
Open the card in the Wallet app.
Tap the three-dot menu (···).
Tap Pass Details.
Tap Share Card.
Choose a sharing method or copy the link.

Open the card in Google Wallet.
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner (Details button).

Each referral link is unique and tied to the specific customer who shares it.
FAQs
Can a customer earn referral rewards more than once?
Yes. Each time the referrer invites a new customer who installs the card and completes their first action, the referrer earns the configured reward.
What if the referred person already has a card?
No referral bonus is awarded. The system only rewards genuinely new customers who don't already exist in your customer list.
Should I reward after card installation or after first purchase?
We recommend rewarding after the first purchase. This way, you only pay out rewards after receiving revenue — making the program self-funding.
Does the new customer get both the referral bonus and the welcome bonus?
Yes. If you've configured both a welcome bonus (in card settings) and a referral reward, the new customer receives both.
Where can customers find the Share Card button?
On the back of their loyalty card in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or the PWA. The button is labelled Share Card and generates a unique referral link.
