Overview
When you create UTM tags during card setup, each tag generates a unique installation link and QR code. When a customer installs a card through that link, the UTM tag is stored on their customer profile — letting you see which distribution channel they came from.
UTM data is not shown as a separate report or chart in the dashboard. Instead, it's stored as a tag on each customer and can be viewed in three places.
Where to find UTM data
In the card's customer list
Navigate to Cards in the left-hand menu.
Open the card template.
Click the Customers (Clients) tab.
Look for the UTM column in the customer list.
Each customer's UTM tag shows which channel they used to install the card (e.g., "facebook," "google_ads," "partner").
In a customer's profile
Navigate to Customers in the left-hand menu.
Click on any customer to open their profile.
The UTM tag is displayed in their profile details.
In an export file
Navigate to Cards in the left-hand menu.
Open the card template and go to the Customers tab.
Click Export.
Open the downloaded file — UTM appears as a column in the spreadsheet.
This is the most useful method for analysing UTM performance across your entire customer base, since you can sort, filter, and compare channels in a spreadsheet.
How to use UTM tracking effectively
Create a UTM tag for each distribution channel
When setting up your card, create separate UTM tags for each channel you plan to use. For example:
facebook — For cards distributed through Facebook ads or posts
google_ads — For cards distributed through Google ad campaigns
instagram — For cards shared on Instagram
partner_salon — For QR codes placed at a partner business
table_tent — For in-store table tents or printed materials
Compare channel performance
Export your customer list and sort or filter by the UTM column. Count how many customers came through each channel to understand which distribution methods are driving the most card installations.
FAQs
Is there a UTM report on the dashboard?
No. UTM data is stored as a tag on each customer profile and is visible in the card's customer list, individual customer profiles, and customer exports. There is no separate UTM chart or report in the dashboard.
Can I create UTM tags after the card is activated?
Yes. UTM tags can be added at any time from the card settings. Each new tag generates a unique link and QR code.
Can I create customer segments based on UTM tags?
Yes. You can use UTM tags to segment your customer base, which is useful for sending targeted push notifications or mailings to customers from specific channels.
How many UTM tags can I create?
There is no limit. You can create as many UTM-tagged links as you need for different distribution channels.
