Points are awarded for tasks you complete, but a Heart is earned for completing all your tasks for the day. For example, if you have two tasks for the day but you only do one, you would collect some points but no Heart for the day. But if you complete all of your tasks including the Daily Bonus, you will also earn a Heart for the day.
