To create a contact attribute, navigate to ‘Contacts’ and select ‘Contacts’ from the dropdown. Click on ‘Manage attributes’.

Once on the custom attributes page, ensure you have selected ‘Contact attributes’ as the type of custom attribute and click ‘New attribute’.

Give your attribute a label and select the data type of the custom attribute, such as email, date range, et cetera.

Click on ‘Create’ and then navigate to ‘Select options’ in the second tab.

Click on ‘New option’ and create the options for that attribute by entering the value name and clicking ‘Create’.

Each option must be created individually. To make an option the default, check the box labeled ‘Is default’.

You can now see this information in your ‘Manage attributes’ overview and can use it as a column in the overview page of your contacts.
