Pilea roles and permissions

A full reference of every role in Pilea, organization and workspace level, and what each one can and cannot do.

Pilea uses two levels of roles: organization roles and workspace roles. Every member has one of each. Organization roles control access to org-level settings; workspace roles control what a member can do within a specific workspace.

There are three organization roles: Owner, Admin, and Member.

Workspace roles

There are three workspace roles: Admin, Editor, and Viewer. These are assigned per workspace, a member can have different roles in different workspaces.

How roles interact

Organization Admins have access to all workspaces at the workspace Admin level by default, even if they haven't been explicitly assigned a workspace role. Organization Members only see workspaces they've been explicitly added to.
