Inviting your team to Pilea gives colleagues access to your workspace so they can view the backlog, run insights, and add feedback. Only organization Admins and Owners can send invitations.
Invite teammates by email
Go to Settings > Invite team.
Click Invite member.
Enter the email address in the Email address field.
Select a Role: Admin or Member.
Click Send invitation.
The invited person receives an email with a link to join. Repeat these steps for each person you want to invite.

Understanding roles
Pilea has two levels of roles: organization-level and workspace-level.
Organization roles
Role | What they can do |
Owner | Full access to all org settings, billing, and all workspaces. Can transfer ownership and delete admins. |
Admin | Can invite, manage integrations, create workspaces, and configure org settings. Can also access billing. |
Member | Access to workspaces they've been added to. Cannot change org settings. |
Workspace roles
When a member is added to a workspace, they are assigned a workspace role:
Role | What they can do |
Admin | Can configure workspace settings, integrations, and manage members within the workspace. |
Editor | Can add feedback, create and edit backlog items, run insights, and manage surveys. |
Viewer | Read-only access to backlog and insights. Cannot add or edit content. |
💡 Tip: For most team members Editor is the right workspace role. Reserve Admin for the people who manage integrations and workspace configurations like member and priority score settings.
Change a workspace member's role
Go to Settings > Workspace > Member settings.
Find the member in the list.
Click the role badge next to their name.
Select the new role from the dropdown.
The change takes effect immediately.

Check whether an invitation was accepted
Invited members appear in the member table at Settings > Invite team. The Status column shows Active for members who have accepted, and Pending for those who haven't yet.

Remove a member
Go to Settings > Workspace > Member settings.
Find the member you want to remove.
Click the ... menu next to their name.
Select Remove member.
Removing a member revokes their access immediately. Their contributions (feedback entries, backlog items, insights) remain in the workspace.
