Many paper logbooks have you enter the “Type” first, however, in LogTen it’s much better to enter the Aircraft ID.
An Aircraft Type can be associated with several Aircraft IDs, but an Aircraft ID can only be linked to one Type.
If the Aircraft ID already exists in your logbook, by entering the Aircraft ID first LogTen will automatically populate the Type.
