Why is Pionex Card Usage Restricted in Certain Regions?

To comply with international regulatory requirements and applicable sanctions, Pionex Card imposes payment restrictions on merchant transactions in certain restricted countries and regions.

These restrictions apply to both Visa and Mastercard transactions.


List of Restricted Countries / Regions

  • Afghanistan

  • Venezuela

  • Russia

  • Myanmar

  • Ukraine

  • North Korea

  • Iran

  • Belarus

  • Russia is restricted due to specific compliance and regulatory requirements, particularly concerning users with Russian KYC details.


Scope of Restrictions

  • Merchants that are registered in or operating from the above countries or regions are not supported for payments made with Pionex Visa or Mastercard.

  • If a transaction involves a merchant associated with any of the restricted countries or regions listed above, the payment may be automatically declined by the system.

  • The countries listed above indicate regions where card spending is not supported. They do not represent countries where card issuance or activation is unavailable.
