What is the Pionex Card?
The Pionex Card is a cryptocurrency debit card that allows you to spend your crypto directly on everyday purchases. There’s no need to convert crypto to fiat in advance—you can use your Pionex Card for online transactions at any merchant that accepts Visa or Master globally, delivering a seamless “crypto-to-real-world” payment experience.
Why Link to Digital Wallets?
By linking your Pionex Card to leading digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, PayPal, and Line Pay, you can unlock both online and in-store spending. This expands the card’s versatility and ensures a more secure and convenient way to pay, anytime and anywhere.
Which wallets work with your card brand: On a Pionex Mastercard, you can add Apple Pay (manual binding) and Google Pay where those wallets operate for your account's region. Alipay, WeChat Pay, and PayPal support the Pionex Visa Card only and cannot be linked to a Mastercard.
What You Need Before Linking
Before you can link your card to any digital wallet, you’ll need to retrieve your Pionex Card details, including:
Card number
Expiration date
CVV security code
These are required during the setup process.
How to get your card information?
Open the Pionex App
On the home screen, navigate to Wallet → Card → Visa
Then tap View Card Details to see your card number, expiration date, and CVV
Apple Pay
Currently:
The Visa Card now supports Apple Pay. Please update the app to the latest version via the App Store to add your card with one tap.
MasterCard now supports manual binding to Apple Pay.- Virtual Pionex cards can also be added to Apple Pay for offline and physical payments.
Whether a card can be added also depends on the region your Apple Account and device are in. Apple Pay is not offered in every region. Where Apple Pay is not offered, no card can be added there. This is Apple's own regional availability — Pionex cannot change it, and it does not mean there is a problem with your card. Pay the merchant with the card directly instead. Apple lists the regions it supports here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102775
On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap the "+" icon in the upper-right corner.
Select "Add Credit or Debit Card".
Manually enter your Pionex Card information.
Read and agree to the terms and conditions, then complete verification via SMS or email.
Your Pionex Card will now be added to Apple Pay.6. If binding fails, ensure your card details are correct, your Wallet app is updated, and contact Apple Support if the issue persists.
Supported Devices: iPhone 6 or newer, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac. For more instructions, please refer to “How to Use Apple Pay?”
App Store, iCloud+ & Apple Account Subscriptions
Your Pionex Card can be added to Apple Pay for everyday store and in-app payments, but it can't be set as the payment method on your Apple Account. Apple charges App Store purchases, iCloud+, and other Apple Account subscriptions to the payment method saved on the Apple Account, so the Pionex Card can't be used to pay for these.
To pay for Apple Account subscriptions, use another payment method that your Apple Account accepts. Your Pionex Card still works — including through Apple Pay — with merchants and apps that accept it.
Google Pay
Google Pay must also be available where your Google Account and device are. It is not offered in every country. Where Google Pay is not offered, no card can be added there. This is Google's own regional availability and not something Pionex can change. Google lists the supported countries here: https://support.google.com/wallet/answer/12060037
Open the Google Pay app and tap “Payment”.
Select “Add a Card”.
Manually enter your Pionex Card information.
Read and agree to the terms and conditions, then complete verification via SMS or email.
Your Pionex Card will now be added to Google Pay.6. If binding fails, ensure your card details are correct, your Google Pay app is updated, and contact Google Support for further assistance.
Supported Devices: Android 7.0 or later with NFC functionality.

PayPal
PayPal uses the Address Verification System (AVS) to verify card bindings, which checks the card's billing address against the address on file with PayPal. The Pionex Mastercard cannot be linked to PayPal at this time. This is a current limitation of the card — retrying, waiting, or keeping a balance on the card will not change it; you can also pay the merchant with your Pionex Card directly.

Important Reminder
Please keep your Pionex Card information (card number, CVV, expiration date), your devices, and your authentication methods (such as biometrics or authenticator apps) secure at all times to prevent unauthorized use.
Pionex will never ask you for your full card information. If you receive any suspicious requests, please stay alert and verify the identity of the requester through official channels.
FAQ
Q: What should I do if my wallet binding shows “Contact card issuing bank”?
A: This usually occurs after multiple failed SMS or email verification attempts, which trigger restrictions from the wallet provider. Please fill out the form below for verification. The relevant team will review and inform you within 3 working days. https://forms.gle/nisLwYya3TWtKnmd9.
Additionally, digital wallets may block binding attempts due to platform risk controls. Ensure your card details are correct, your wallet app is updated, and contact our support team if the issue persists.
Q: Why did wallet binding fail right after applying for the Pionex Card?
A: Some wallets require a small authorization charge to verify the card. It’s recommended to transfer some funds into the Card account before attempting to bind. The transaction history should show the reason for the binding failure. If you are using a virtual card, ensure it is supported by the wallet.
Q: Do I need to spend money to activate my card before linking it to a wallet?
A: No. Your Pionex Card is activated automatically after it is issued — activation does not require a purchase. (Some wallets run their own verification when you link the card, such as the small authorization check described below; that is the wallet's step, not card activation.)
Q: When a wallet places a small verification charge to link my card, is that a real charge? Does it count as a purchase or first spend?
A: No. That is a temporary verification authorization, not a completed purchase, and not money you actually spent — it does not count as a purchase or as the card's "first spend." If that authorization has not dropped off after a long time, contact Pionex Support to check it.
Q: Can I add the same Pionex Card to more than one device (for example, two iPhones)?
A: Yes. On Apple Pay the same card can be added to up to 10 devices — for example two iPhones, or an iPhone together with an Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac. Each device is added and verified separately, and is bound independently (on a Mastercard, complete the one-time verification code on each), so removing the card from one device does not affect the card on the others. To remove it from a device, delete the card in that device's own wallet app. Google Pay also adds the card per device; remove it in Google Wallet on that device.
Q: Is it OK to just add my card to a wallet like Apple Pay and not use it?
A: Adding your card to a wallet is free and does not affect the card staying active. But adding it to a wallet is not the same as using it: a card that is never used can eventually be closed for inactivity (you would be notified by email first). To keep the card active, make a small real purchase with it from time to time — a verification hold from linking does not count as use.
Q: After linking, where can I see which apps or wallets my card is linked to?
A: There is no single screen in the Pionex App that lists every app or wallet your card is linked to. To check a specific wallet, open that wallet's own app — for example, your card appears in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or your PayPal account there. Links made on third-party platforms (such as PayPal) are managed entirely by that platform.
Q: Can I link my Pionex Card to someone else's PayPal or wallet account?
A: Pionex only verifies that the person doing the linking is the cardholder; it does not verify who owns the wallet account — that is decided by the wallet's own rules (for example PayPal's address verification, or Apple/Google's device checks). Whether a card can be linked to another person's wallet account is up to that wallet, not Pionex.
Q: I can't receive the verification code because I used Apple's Hide My Email address
A: If your Pionex account is bound to an Apple "Hide My Email" address, the verification code may fail to arrive due to limitations in Apple's email forwarding mechanism. Please follow these steps:
Go to your account settings and unbind the current Apple Hide My Email address
Bind a regular email address that you can receive mail on normally
Once this is done, please contact Pionex Support — we will update your account information so you can receive verification codes normally
Q: Why does it prompt "Annual Limit Exceeded" when using Pionex Card via WeChat Pay or Alipay?
A: This limit is set by WeChat Pay or Alipay's risk control system based on their annual cumulative spending threshold (typically around RMB 40,000–50,000 per calendar year), rather than a restriction from Pionex, and Pionex cannot adjust or lift it. If your actual limit is lower than this range, it may be due to tighter platform risk controls; please contact WeChat Pay or Alipay customer service to check your specific account limit, which usually resets on January 1st of the new calendar year.
Q: When I add my Pionex Card to Apple Pay, it only lets me verify by phone call (“Call to Verify”). Do I have to make that call?
A: No. The phone-call option appears after several failed SMS or email verification attempts. It is the card issuer's identity verification for adding your card to Apple Pay, not a problem with your card, and you don't need to call the number shown or wait for a call. Please fill out this form for verification instead: https://forms.gle/nisLwYya3TWtKnmd9. The relevant team will review it within 3 working days, and Pionex Support will notify you of the result. Once it's approved, delete the card from Apple Wallet and add it again.
