How to quickly create a new record directly from within a reference or reference multiple field
When searching for records to populate reference or reference multiple fields, desired results may not display, indicating that the record does not exist in the referenced table. Rather than navigate to the referenced table to add the new entry, you can quickly create a new record directly from the reference search list. Once saved, the record will immediately be available for reference.
1. | Navigate to a reference or reference multiple field in an expanded record |
| Alternatively, double click directly into the field from within your table |
2. | If the desired record does not exist in the reference table list, click Create New Record  |
3. | From the Create Record pop up window, enter field data |
4. | Click Save |
5. | After saving, the new record will immediately be available for reference |
