How to copy and paste templates across tables
You can copy and paste entire templates in the Elements app across different tables and workspaces. This includes copying and pasting across browser windows and tabs. Your clipboard will be maintained across page reloads, shutdowns and leaving the application.
Select all the layers in the template by holding down the left mouse button on the edge of the document that you want to copy, and then drag your cursor to the other side of the document.
Once the entire template is selected, enter the keyboard command Ctrl+C to copy the existing template. In a new blank template, enter Ctrl+V and the layers that were copied will be pasted there.
Fields from the original and new table must have the same names and same/similar field types (image to image, and non-image to non-image). The page sizes should also match in terms of pixel dimensions to ensure everything aligns correctly. Date, number, and currency fields will maintain the same format when possible. If not, a default field type will be set. If a field name doesn't match a field in the new table, the element object will not be added to the template. However, the rest of the elements in the group will be pasted.
Since this functions as a standard copy and paste, the template will not retain conditional layers. You will need to recreate those layers after pasting.
Please note: When pasting fields into a new document, objects may shift. Since every field is initially selected as a group, make adjustments to where the full group sits before changing individual fields. In most cases, clicking the horizontal and vertical center align options corrects any positioning issues.
