Can I decline an order?

As a vendor, your availability determines whether or not you can decline an order:

  • For ASAP orders, each one has to be manually accepted or declined. There is no option to automatically accepts ASAP orders.

  • If your status is auto-accepting, you cannot decline an order. All orders will be automatically accepted as soon as the customer places the order. If you receive an order that was automatically accepted and you cannot complete it, you should dispute it as soon as possible.

  • If your status is not-accepting, customers will not be able to order from you at all.

  • If your status is on hold, you will be able to review each order and choose to either accept it or decline it.

If you choose to decline an order, you will be prompted to select a reason for declining it. We've implemented this step so we can have a better understanding as to why you would choose not to work an order.

In the drop-down menu, you'll see the following reasons for declining an order:

  • Customer asked for more than agreed upon.

  • I am not available to complete this order.

  • I do not want to work with this customer.

  • Payment for work is less than I expected.

  • I cannot complete this order by the deadline.

It's important to note that the info displayed in the Activity Feed to the customer will vary slightly from the reason you select, in order to preserve your reputation and relationship with customers:

You'll also be given space to provide any other details or information you'd like. Any information you provide in this text field will only be visible to Pixlmob Admin and will NOT be visible to customers.

Declining orders does not change your ranking on the marketplace or impact your review score. However, it is important to know that habitually declining work could prohibit you from being featured as a recommended vendor.
