Effective July 30, 2026 we have replaced the $1 balance reload fee with a service fee that applies per order. This service fee covers a small portion of the real costs behind the platform: payment processing, cloud infrastructure, perks like free asset storage, and currency conversion on payouts to editors worldwide.
Pixlmob has grown significantly and the costs of running and improving the platform have also. Until now, we have fully absorbed those increased expenses. Editors keep the overwhelming majority of every Pixlmob transaction, and this change helps us continue to deliver the reliable platform and editing services you depend on, while we continue to invest in new features and improvements. We’ve also built real workarounds to help offset the service fee. Connect a bank account to reduce the fee, or auto-reload at volume ($500/mo), and the fee drops to 0%.
Service Fee Rates
Fee rate depends on the funding method, and that rate is applied to the funds added to an account.
On a typical $25 order, a 3% fee is about $0.75, or $0.20 just cents if you reload with a connected bank account/ACH (US only).
Funding method | Service fee |
Card | 3% of order total |
ACH (US only) | 0.8% of order total |
Example: Fund your Pixlmob balance with $100 using a connected bank account, and the 0.8% service fee will apply to all orders that are funded with that $100.
How to Reduce Service Fees
Option | Payment Type | Service Fee |
Auto-reload Subscription of $500/mo or more | Card or Connected Bank Account | 0% |
Connect a Bank Account | Bank Account/ACH | 0.8% of order total |
Not every payment costs the same amount to process. Card payments are expensive. ACH is a fraction of that. We designed the service fee to reflect that difference rather than average it out, so you get the savings directly.
