Introducing Pixlmob Hosting!

What does Pixlmob hosting mean?

  • With our newest release, Pixlmob is now allowing for delivered files to be uploaded directly to our platform where customers can then sync the finished files to Drive or Dropbox or the customer can download the files directly from Pixlmob.

Starting November 6th, customers will have 2 options when placing an order:

  1. They can enable Pixlmob hosting of files, OR

  2. They can continue using the traditional order form where they provide a link to the raw files and a link where you should upload the finished files.

What does this mean for you?

Raw Files: When you receive an order on Pixlmob, you will continue to access the raw files the same way you always have. Nothing about this process will change for you at this time.

Delivery: Once you've edited the media and you are ready to deliver, you should navigate to the service details page and to the finished files tab like you're accustomed to using.

  • If the customer has NOT enabled Pixlmob hosting, you will deliver the files to the link provided by the vendor like you always have and you will see a link where you can access the finished files folder.

  • If the customer HAS enabled Pixlmob hosting, you will see a new interface where you will upload files directly to Pixlmob.

  • You are required to upload the files here and should NOT send a message to the customer asking him to provide you with a link or send your own link.

  • Once you have initiated the upload, you will see a progress bar in the bottom right corner, which includes an option to automatically submit the edits and mark as delivered when the order is complete

  • Step-by-step instructions for this new delivery process can be found here.

Important Notes:

  • This new delivery process includes a counter comparing how many files were uploaded to how many were ordered.

  • You will still be able to deliver the order, even if these numbers do not match.

  • However, what is most important to know is that once you mark an order as delivered, you CANNOT upload any more files to that order.

  • This means you should only mark the order as delivered when you are confident you have selected all files to upload.

  • Remember, starting November 20th, all orders will transition to this new system and will be delivered only through Pixlmob!

FAQs

What should I do if the upload to Pixlmob is not working?

  • If you run into an issue uploading and delivering through Pixlmob, you can click this help button, which will require you to provide feedback about the issue to us, and will then revert the order back to the old system so you can still deliver it.

  • You should ONLY use this method if you cannot upload files to Pixlmob and you are experiencing an issue.

Can I upload the files to my own Dropbox or Drive account and deliver that way?

No, all files must be delivered either by uploading to Pixlmob or by uploading to the folder provided by the customer. If the customer fails to provide the proper permissions needed for his folder, you should message him within the order so he can fix it.

Can I delete a file I did not mean to upload?

No, you cannot delete a file once it has been delivered. If you have already delivered the order and need to remove a file from the order, you should contact Customer Service with the Order ID.

What if I miss a file or forget to upload one?

Once the order is delivered, you are unable to upload any additional files until the customer requests revisions. Send a message to the customer and ask him to submit a revision request so you can upload the missing file.
