The time required to complete your fertility agreement depends on your needs and target dates, but here’s a typical timeline:

  1. Initial Agreement Generation: It can take as little as 15 minutes for you to answer the questions needed to generate the agreement, which will then be instantly available for review in your Dashboard.

  2. Review with Michelle Flowerday: After the agreement is generated, you (or the party who created it) will review the document with Michelle Flowerday. Scheduling this review is simple—just click the “Book My Review” button to access Michelle's flexible schedule and arrange an appointment at a time that works for you.

  3. Inviting Other Parties for Review: Once the agreement has been reviewed with Michelle, the next step is to invite the other lawyer and any relevant parties to view and review the agreement in the web application.

  4. Modification Requests: If any modifications are requested by the lawyer reviewing the agreement, they can make changes directly in the web application, keeping all negotiations in one place. You, as the party who generated the agreement, can then approve, decline, or modify the modification requests.

  5. Electronic Execution: Once all parties agree on the final version of the agreement, they will sign it electronically via Docusign. When the last party and lawyer sign, the lawyer(s) will also sign the Certificate of Independent Legal Advice through Docusign. All parties and lawyers will receive the fully executed agreement through Docusign for their records.

  6. Legal Clearance Letter: After the final signatures, Plaid will automatically send the legal clearance letter to the fertility clinic (if involved), the Donor or surrogacy agency (if involved), all parties to the agreement, and the lawyers, ensuring everyone has a copy for their records.

Total Length of Process: The entire process of generating, negotiating, and finalizing your agreement can take as little as one day, but it ultimately depends on how long it takes you and the other parties to review and finalize the document.
