Adding Cruises to a Trip

PlanitEasy makes it easy to add cruise reservations to your trips. Whether it's a simple single-cabin booking or a complex group cruise with multiple cabin types and pricing tiers, here's how to set it up.

Adding a Cruise Reservation

  1. Open your trip and go to the Planner page

  2. On the day your cruise departs, click the "+" button all the way to the right of that day or drag and drop a cruise reservation from the services shown on the right.

  3. Select Cruise from the service list

  4. Fill in the cruise details:

    • Cruise Line β€” select or type the cruise line name

    • Ship Name β€” the specific vessel

    • Embarkation Date and Disembarkation Date (add dates that span over two days ex. cruise leaves on July 12 so pick July 11 - July 13

  5. Click Search

Adding Cabins

After creating the cruise reservation, you can add one or more cabin types:

  1. In the cruise reservation, find the Cabins section all the way at the bottom of the cruise proposal page

  2. Click the cabin that was imported into the reservation by the cruise line

  3. Enter the cabin details:

    • Cabin Type β€” e.g., Interior, Ocean View, Balcony, Suite

Adding Pricing

You can add pricing at the cabin level:

  • Per-person pricing

  • Per-cabin pricing

For detailed pricing instructions, see Adding Prices to a Cruise or a Cabin.

Adding a Cruise Manually (Without Search)

If the cruise line doesn't appear in search results, you can add it manually by typing in all the details. See Adding a Cruise Manually.

How Cruises Appear on the Itinerary

On the client itinerary, the cruise shows as a multi-day block spanning from embarkation to disembarkation. Your clients will see:

  • Cruise line and ship name

  • Departure and arrival ports

Tips

  • Port days: You can add activities or excursions on the days between embarkation and disembarkation to show port-of-call activities

  • Pre/post cruise: Add hotel and flight reservations before and after the cruise days for a complete itinerary

  • Hiding prices: If you don't want cabin prices visible on the client itinerary, see Hiding Total Price for a Room/Cabin

  • Supplier status: Track whether the cruise is confirmed, pending, or cancelled. See Supplier Status on Itinerary
