Sharing tasks in the client portal

Learn how task visibility and sharing works in the client portal.

Enable the Client Portal

Tasks are only visible to clients and contacts through the client portal. Learn more about enabling the client portal for a client/contact.

Task Permissions

You can set overall Task permissions for each client which gives you control over what they can see and do. From the Collaborate page, click Permissions for a specific client/contact.

In the Permissions screen that opens, go to the Tasks section.

Enable / Disable - By default the Tasks feature is enabled. Disabling Tasks will completely hide everything related to tasks from this client (they won't know it's a feature in Planpage)

View and Comment - Which tasks the client can view in their portal:

Only Assigned Tasks

Tasks they've been assigned to.

All Contact Tasks

Tasks that are assigned to at least one client, even if it's not assigned directly to them. Example: Letting bride and groom see all client tasks.

All Contact & Staff Tasks

View all tasks for the project (regardless of assignment).

Update - Which tasks the client can edit/update in their portal. The options are identical to the options above (with one exception: an option for None (read only).

Create Tasks - Allow clients to create tasks in the portal.
