Sharing the Music page with Clients

Sharing the Music page lets clients review or help update music selections from their Client Portal.

This is useful when you want clients to provide song choices for important timeline moments, add notes for the DJ or band, or build general Song Lists like Must Play and Do Not Play.

You control access for each client individually. Some clients can be given View Only access if you only want them to review the page, while others can be given Can Edit access if you want them to help add or update music details.

You can also set a Client Editing Deadline to give clients a clear cutoff for making changes before the event.

How to share the Music page

First, open the project. Then...

Select Music from the Project navigation.

Click Share Music Page in the top-right corner.

Check the client or clients you want to share the Music page with.

Choose each client’s access level:

  • View Only lets the client review the Music page without making changes.

  • Can Edit lets the client update music selections, notes, and Song Lists.

Optionally set a Client Editing Deadline.

What clients can edit

What clients can edit depends on the access level you give them.

Clients with View Only access can see the full Music page, including Timeline Songs, Song Lists, selected songs, and notes. They cannot make changes.

Clients with Can Edit access can help update the Music page.

For Timeline Songs, clients can add or update song selections and notes for timeline items that already have a Song or Song Needed attached. They cannot add new timeline items from the Music page, and they cannot remove the Song or Song Needed connection from a timeline item.

For Song Lists, clients can add, edit, and delete song lists and songs within those lists. This lets them help build lists like Must Play, Do Not Play, Cocktail Hour, or After Party without needing access to edit the project timeline.

Setting a Client Editing Deadline

You can set a Client Editing Deadline when you want clients to have a clear cutoff for making music changes.

The deadline applies to the entire Music page, including both Timeline Songs and Song Lists. After the deadline passes, clients can still view the Music page if it has been shared with them, but they can no longer edit song selections, notes, or song lists.

This is helpful when you want to collect music details from clients, but also need time to review the final selections and share them with the DJ, band, venue, or other event partners.
